Support the webinar through transcription, proofreading, translation, and editing tasks for peacebuilding discussion.

You have:

  • Native English speaker ideally to transcribe the recording and fluent in Spanish.
  • Previous experience in translation from English to Spanish.
  • Video editing skills including knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and PremierePro.
  • Ability to work 11-20 hours per week for 2 weeks.

We are looking for four volunteers for this task. The two volunteers will be asked to listen, transcript and proofread a 2-hour long webinar in English (with some parts in Spanish) about peacebuilding in times of COVID. The third volunteer will be asked to translate the transcript to English and Spanish. The fourth volunteer will be asked to edit the webinar video adding subtitles, logos, an intro and an outro.

    This webinar was part of UNITAR's online event "The voices of Sustaining Peace: Innovating capacity building for peace in the face of COVID-19", which was the UNITAR Division for Peace Advisory Board Side Event on the Sidelines of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations. The webinar is a discussion among peacebuilders from various parts of the world, with Mr. Fabrizio Horschild as keynote speaker and Mr. Alan Doss as moderator. This webinar highlights the importance of SDGs 4, 5, 16 and 7, as well as the Security Council Resolution 2250.

  • 11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks

    For 1st volunteer: Ideally native English speaker in order to correctly transcribe the recording and fluency in Spanish. For 2nd volunteer: Previous experience in translation (English-Spanish). For 3rd volunteer: Video editing skills, Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and PremierePro, previous experience in video editing.
