Overview

Design and deliver a learning program on work-life balance and cross-cultural working.

You have:

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Learning and Development, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.
  • A first-level university degree combined with additional 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in learning design, facilitation, coaching, and organisational development is required.
  • Experience working with UN or international organisations in change management or HR development contexts is desirable.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to engage and motivate participants is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is desirable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Experience in Leading with Balance: Attaining Work-Life Balance and Harnessing the Power of Cross-Cultural Working in Times of Uncertainty is desirable.

To design, develop, facilitate, and report on a comprehensive learning program on Leading with Balance: Attaining Work-Life Balance and the Power of Cross-Cultural Working in Times of Uncertainty aimed to help leaders cultivate a balanced approach to work and personal life, enhancing well-being and sustainable leadership and develop managers’ cultural intelligence to lead culturally diverse teams and effectively capitalise on global perspectives

Duties and Responsibilities

The United Nations Environment Programme is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. The consultancy position is based in the HR Section of the Corporate Services Division at the Nairobi Duty Station. Under the guidance of the Chief of the HR Section, the consultant will report to the Training Officer. Duties and Responsibilities. The consultant is expected to design, develop and deliver two cohorts of virtual learning session on Leading with Balance: Attaining Work-Life Balance and the Power of Cross-Cultural Working in Times of Uncertainty to UNEP staff in all Divisions, Regional Offices and MEAs. Specifically the key deliverable are, The consultant is expected to design, develop and deliver two cohorts of virtual learning sessions on Reasoning, Problem-Solving, and Ideation and Building an Inclusive Team for Agility and Adaptability, targeting UNEP staff in all Divisions, Regional Offices and MEAs. Specifically, the key deliverables are: • Conduct pre-learning needs assessment and produce an analytical report to inform the design and development of learning resources and activities. • Design and develop diverse learning resources, including presentations, learning guides, case studies and practical exercises or projects, ensuring alignment with identified learning needs and objectives covering the identified topics. • Facilitate and deliver engaging learning sessions, employing appropriate adult learning methodologies to support effective knowledge transfer and skills development mainly through virtual sessions . • Administer post-learning assessment and prepare a a comprehensive report summarizing participants feedback, learning outcomes achieved, key observations reflecting the impression of the learners and lessons learned.
