You have:
- Previous experience in translation / proofreading of documents related to environmental or sustainable development issues.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.

- Experience in translating official documents is an advantage.
Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
- The volunteer will be asked to translate 40182 words, within a maximum period of 7 (calendar) days.
- The document must be submitted in MS Word.
- The online volunteer should not use Google translation.
- The volunteer must proofread in the language into which the document is translated, if necessary.
- All activities will be coordinated with the UNDP team in Panama. Upon successful completion of the assignment, a certificate will be issued.
We are seeking ONE Online Volunteers to support us by translating "ESTRATEGIA NACIONAL DE HIDROGENO VERDE Y DERIVADOS DE PANAMA" from SPANISH to ENGLISH. To this end the Online Volunteers are asked: - To translate the document, which is 125 pages / 40,182 words long into english. - Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience
The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed.
The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the National Energy Secretariat and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to the implementation of the energy transition agenda of Panama.
Candidates must have previous experience in translation / proofreading of documents related to environmental or sustainable development issues. - Must be able to work under tight deadlines. - Must have an interest in environmental or sustainable development related work. - Experience in translating official documents and an understanding of the appropriate tone for translating such documents is an advantage.
Experience Required 1. The online volunteer is expected to be fluent in Spanish (native speaker preferred) and English (native/working level). 2. University level education.
