Org. Setting and Reporting Ce poste fait partie de la Section française de traduction, Service linguistique, Division de la gestion des conférences, Département de l'Assemblée générale et de la gestion des conférences, Genève. Le titulaire travaille sous la supervision du Terminologue.

Responsibilities Sous la supervision générale du (de la) chef de la Section française de traduction et la supervision directe d’un(e) terminologue, le (la) titulaire : - Saisit dans le portail UNTERM des données terminologiques ayant pour objet de contribuer à l’enrichissement, au nettoyage et à la mise à jour des données terminologiques en langue française ; - Procède aux recherches nécessaires en exploitant les sources d’information internes et externes disponibles et fait des propositions au (à la) terminologue aux fins de la création, de la modification ou de la validation de fiches terminologiques ; - Répond aux demandes relatives à la terminologie de langue française émanant des traducteurs et d’autres utilisateurs, sous la supervision du (de la) terminologue ; - Participe à la gestion de la terminologie multilingue, en collaboration avec les autres terminologues et assistant(e)s de terminologie de l’ONUG, notamment en concourant à l’amélioration des méthodes de travail collaboratif et des consignes applicables ; - Communique avec les terminologues et assistant(e)s de terminologie d’autres lieux d’affectation et organisations du système des Nations Unies en fonction de la répartition des domaines couverts dans UNTERM ; - Répond aux questions des traducteurs concernant l’utilisation d’UNTERM ; - Participe à l’administration de la Section française de traduction en effectuant certaines tâches de gestion de la documentation à l’appui ou en remplacement des assistants de documentation ; - Encadre des stagiaires pendant de courtes périodes.

Education Diplôme de fin d’études secondaire ou équivalent.

Work Experience Une expérience de 5 ans minimum dans le domaine linguistique ou dans la recherche documentaire est requise.

Une expérience de travail de 3 ans dans les services linguistiques de l’Organisation des Nations Unies ou d’une organisation internationale de même type est souhaitable.

Languages Le français et l'anglais sont les langues officielles du Secrétariat des Nations Unies. Pour ce poste, la maîtrise du français est requise. La connaissance de l’anglais est requise. La connaissance d’une autre langue officielle des Nations Unies est souhaitable.
