Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tender & Business Development Coordinator to join our Commercial Contracts team.

About the team

DRC’s Commercial Contracts team provides expert oversight and hands-on support to country operations in bidding for, managing, and implementing commercial contracts. The team identifies and pursues new opportunities, supports high-quality proposal development and delivery, and ensures compliance across the portfolio.

This work plays a critical role in generating unrestricted funding that enables innovation and long-term investments in DRC’s mission: to assist refugees and displaced people worldwide, protect their rights, and support them in building a better future.

About the job

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping and strengthening DRC’s commercial portfolio. You will lead and coordinate proposal processes and contribute to business development efforts across the organisation.

As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you will work closely with country offices and technical colleagues to ensure strong, competitive, and compliant bids.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Proposal coordination and development

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end proposal development processes
  • Develop timelines, allocate roles, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality submissions
  • Coordinate inputs from internal teams and external partners
  • Edit, review, and strengthen technical and narrative contributions
  • Support budget preparation in collaboration with finance teams
  • Facilitate internal review and quality assurance processes
  • Support consortium development when relevant
  • Lead debriefs and capture lessons learned after submissions

Business development support

  • Support identification, assessment, and tracking of new commercial opportunities
  • Contribute to positioning and pre-bid engagement efforts
  • Maintain and improve systems and tools supporting business development, including:
    • Project references
    • Capacity statements
    • CVs and expert rosters

About you

We are looking for a structured, proactive and analytical professional who combines strong coordination skills with attention to detail and high-quality writing, and who thrives in deadline-driven environments.

You likely have 1–5 years of experience in proposal coordination, tendering, or business development from the NGO or private sector.
