Start Fund Bangladesh (SFB) is a civil society managed rapid emergency response pooled funding mechanism. It releases funding within 72 hours of a crisis alert, and it is accessible to local, national, and international member NGOs operating in Bangladesh to respond early to under the radar emergencies. The Programme has evolved since its inception in 2017 and currently implementing other programs i.e., Disaster Risk Financing and Organizational System Strengthening.

The Opportunity The Technical Specialist will be working closely with Manager -partnership as well as team of Start Bangladesh and partners/ members of the Start Bangladesh to deliver project activities. The position holder will provide technical support to the project partners of a USAID funded project and will contribute to the wider SFB organization strengthening program. This role requires competencies to: 1) Select and onboard local organisations and systematically recognise and articulate their capacity strengthening needs; 2) design and implement system strengthening initiatives including trainings and workshops; 3) Facilitate their networking and partnership with relevant and potential stakeholders and their access to resources for their continuity and sustainability. She/he will lead the coordination and communication with intended project partners and other relevant stakeholders and facilitate enabling environment to complete the project successfully within the agreed timeframe. This role requires proven experience in supporting processes for due diligence assessment (DDA), consultant hiring, managing partnership, contract and logistics. This position is responsible for communication and coordination with partner and providing mentoring & coaching support to partners.

Qualifications and Experience • At least 5 years of experience in organizational development, focusing on partner capacity assessment and capacity strengthening plans. • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including NGOs, CBOs, and local government actors. • Ability to integrate cultural differences among partners to foster constructive change. • Demonstrated ability to promote collaboration and partnerships, creating a culture of trust and open dialogue. • Strong commitment to leadership, accountability, and aligning work with strategic goals and organizational mission. • Embracing diversity, new ideas, and challenging the status quo to drive innovative solutions. • Encouraging collective decision-making, teamwork, and continuous personal and professional growth. • Balancing adherence to processes with the flexibility to suggest alternatives, optimizing resources for best results. • Strong skills in developing and delivering training programs and workshops. • Ability to facilitate learning sessions that are engaging, participatory, and effective. • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and competencies • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities. • Strong presentation and writing skills, including project documentation and public communication • Master’s degree or equivalent in development studies, international relations, peace and conflict studies and social science, business administration or any other relevant subject
