GRAMIYA VALARCHI SANGAM (GVS) is a non profit organization located in Tamil Nadu, India. Through many welfare activities based on Education, Health and Livelihood they have been providing education to tribal and marginalized children and youth. Currently they have been providing education to 50 students with age group 8 to 15 years. Ann foundation will be providing English and computer literacy classes for the GVS children. The knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens. Classes are conducted Monday to Friday between 10 am to 4:30 pm Indian Standard Time. Online Volunteers are expected to teach one hour class on two consecutive days. Please apply only if these timings are suitable for you. Classes are conducted online via Skype or Zoom, therefore, you must have access to a good internet connection.

Offering online English and basic computer literacy classes is part of our mission.The knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens.

• Volunteers: 12 needed

• 1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks

  Classes are held Monday to Sunday. Class timings are 9-30 to 12-30 PM Indian Standard time (IST). Volunteers are required to teach for 2 consecutive days. Curriculum will be given to all the volunteers. Volunteers should be proficient in both English and Tamil. Please apply only if these timings are suitable for you. Applicants without CV will be rejected. Please note the language Requirement: Tamil language is required for this opportunity.
