You have:
- Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Education, Educational Leadership, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, International Development and any other related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Education, Programme Management, Programme planning, Research in education and any other related fields.
- Proficient/Fluent in both English and Romanian.
- Knowledge of Russian is a strong asset. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Spanish) is an asset.
- Experience in education policy dialogue, sector planning, education systems strengthening or reform processes is a strong asset.

How can you make a difference?
Under the general supervision of the Deputy Representative, the Education Specialist (NO-C) serves as the Head of the Education Section and provides strategic leadership, technical guidance and operational oversight for UNICEF’s Education Programme in the Moldova Country Office.
The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of results on education programmes/projects to improve learning outcomes and equitable and inclusive education, especially for children who are marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded from society.
The Specialist contributes to achieving results in line with agreed plans, resource allocations, results-based management (RBM) approaches and methodology, as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.

- Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Education, Educational Leadership, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, International Development and any other related fields.
