Recently, UNDP Iraq developed the first-of-its-kind Youth Employment Portfolio to tackle the challenges affecting youth employment in Iraq, such as security issues, governance policies, economic factors, education quality, and social norms. The portfolio aims to transform the youth employment system through policy advocacy and technical support. It focuses on creating an enabling environment, enhancing employability, and fostering youth-led businesses in collaboration with the government, private sector, academia, and civil society. The key focus areas of the portfolio include facilitating finance for youth-led businesses, encouraging private sector investment in new sectors, addressing the skills-job mismatch, and overcoming social norms that hinder women's economic participation. The portfolio aims to create an ecosystem providing equal economic opportunities for young people to start businesses, find jobs, and drive economic growth in Iraq. Hence, the team is now working on documenting the process and generating information and insights from the design process.

We are seeking an Online Volunteer (free of charge) who is proficient in using the Kumu.io platform. The volunteer must be professional in utilizing Kumu.io, familiar with its features, and know how to maximize its potential. The volunteer will support the project team in analyzing the youth employment system by using the Kumu.io platform. The volunteer will work under the guidance and direct supervision of the project team, collaborating with other online volunteers if necessary. The project team will provide the needed information on the youth employment system's elements, and the volunteer will act as the technical expert to reflect this information inside Kumu.io. The primary responsibilities of the Online Volunteer include:

1- Finalizing the design of the existing system in Kumu.io: The volunteer will use Kumu.io to support in refining and completing the already designed system related to youth employment in Iraq. The project team will provide the necessary information on system elements.

2- Issuing a new stakeholder mapping: The volunteer will use Kumu.io to help create a new stakeholder map related to the youth employment system in Iraq. The project team will provide the necessary stakeholder information.

3- System analysis and Transfer data into information: The volunteer should be familiar with system thinking and use Kumu.io to analyze the systems to generate insight/information. Additionally, the volunteer will generate images from the designed system in Kumu.io for use in blogs and reports by the project team. The project team will provide the necessary information on system elements and stakeholders and will work together to Analyze the system.

The required skills and experience for the Online Volunteers are: 1- Proficiency in Kumu.io: Demonstrated expertise in using Kumu.io, including creating, editing, and optimizing system maps. Experience in using advanced features of the platform is highly desirable. 2- System Thinking: Strong understanding of systems thinking and the ability to analyze complex systems. Experience in applying systems thinking to real-world problems, especially in the context of youth employment, is a plus. 3- Stakeholder Mapping: Experience in stakeholder mapping and analysis. Ability to translate provided stakeholder information into comprehensive and accurate maps using Kumu.io. 4- Data Visualization: Skills in data visualization, particularly in the context of system maps. Ability to generate clear and informative visuals for use in reports and blogs. 5- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret and draw insights from system maps. Ability to generate actionable knowledge and recommendations based on the analysis. 6- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of the system maps and stakeholder analyses. 7- Communication Skills: Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with the project team and other online volunteers. Ability to understand and incorporate feedback into the mapping process. 8- Experience with Online Collaboration: Familiarity with online collaboration tools and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. 9- Commitment and Reliability: Demonstrated commitment to volunteering and the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Required education level and # years of experience: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field with minimum of two years of experience.
