The Gender Equality Seal for UNDP Country Offices promotes an organizational culture of equality and incentivizes country offices to meet standards by integrating gender into all aspects of development work. It is UNDP’s flagship initiative to build capacities and support transformational gender equality results. The Seal serves as a learning platform to help Country Offices to establish baselines, fine-tune strategies, address gender gaps, document innovations and showcase the impacts of interventions for gender equality. Unlike the usual “gender audit” or “gender evaluation”, the Seal process creates an inclusive and open space for free thinking and stimulates out-of-the-box thinking. The Gender Equality Seal benchmarking exercise proposes three levels of certification: Gold, Silver and Bronze.

We are looking for Online Volunteers to translate some documents and tools related to the programme from English to Arabic. The main documents will be the Gender Seal Benchmarking Matrix and Comprehensive Benchmarking Matrix. The Online Volunteers will need to bear in mind that these tools will be used globally, so the English language must be as universal as possible. We will set together a work plan with specific timeframes according to your availability and our needs. We will keep tight contact to ensure you can consult as on any question you might have. We need volunteers that are committed and precise, and if possible, has some previous knowledge about development matters, and better if they have some experience on gender equality, though it is not compulsory.

Good translation skills from English to Arabic, with some knowledge about gender equality terms. Someone that is able to work at her/his own pace, responding to the agreed timelines
