Supporting access to water and sanitation: translation volunteers (EN>FR)

This task will involve translating a document detailing a call for proposal for water utilities English to French. By translating this material, utilities from French-speaking countries will be able to apply and improve access for their communities. The volunteers will be sent a section of the text (5 pages) in English and allocated a focal point at the UN-Habitat GWOPA secretariat. Each volunteer will translate their text and one volunteer will be requested to proofread the document (30 pages) to ensure coherence. All communication will be via email although volunteers are welcome to request a call with the focal point if necessary.

This text is part of a 9 million euro project to support water and sanitation utilities provide people with access to basic services. This call for proposals is aimed at water and sanitation utilities who want to learn new skills and build capacity through partnerships.
Volunteers: 7 needed
6-10 hours per week / 2 weeks
Translators should have experience translating complex texts or working in the area of water and sanitation in a multi-lingual environment.
