Entering its fourth year of operation, the Global Fund for Coral Reefs has positioned itself as one of the key players in the Marine Finance Space, with strong alignment with the Global Biodiversity Framework and the Coral Reef Breakthrough. With the financial vehicles in place and the consolidation of the UNGT in Geneva, Switzerland, 2024 marks a critical year for collective action and mobilization of resources.
To support this initiative, the Online Volunteer will play a vital role in the further consolidation of the Global Fund for Coral Reefs by equipping the Fund with the tools, processes, and mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of global programmes.
The selected Online Volunteer will be contributing to GFCR organizational goals, including transparency, operational objectives, programmatic and strategic engagement priorities.
The online volunteer will report directly to the Coordination Support Consultant under the guidance of the Operations & Coordination Analyst with all aspects related to the coordination of the Global Fund for Coral Reefs. The volunteer will support the Coordination Support Consultant by inputting programmatic risk data from 19 global programmes into the GFCR Risk Register, a tool used by the GFCR to assess the extent and nature of the risks faced by the Fund in the implementation of its global programmes.
