Within the Global Fund for Coral Reefs and the emerging threats plastic pose to marine ecosystems. Mapping of actors relevant to the space in terms of state and philanthropic actors is needed to support strategic engagement.

We are seeking one Online Volunteer with strong research experience and excellent writing skills to prepare a short brief on the status of the plastic negotiations and the priorities identified through the process.

The volunteer’s responsibilities will include:

Defining the scope and parameters of the research in consultation with the team

Identifying and reviewing relevant sources (including articles, studies, and reports)

Conducting targeted research

Developing a concise report summarizing key findings

The estimated workload will involve reviewing documents and synthesizing information over the course of the assignment.

This opportunity will allow the selected volunteer to engage with the UN Global Team Strategic Unit at the Global Fund for Coral Reefs and gain insights into how research can inform market-based solutions for a sustainable transition.

Candidates should have strong research and analytical skills. Background knowledge and working experience in [region/country/area/topic] is desirable. A degree in a related field is considered an asset.
