Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in South Sudan is implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023–2027. The Cooperation Framework articulates the collective vision and results of the UN system in support of South Sudan’s national development priorities and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. To strengthen results-based monitoring and reporting, the UN Country Team uses the UNINFO platform — a global UN data system designed to track progress against the UNSDCF results framework and SDG indicators. As part of the 2025 Mid-Year Review, the RCO is consolidating data from 2023, 2024, and 2025 into UNINFO to ensure a comprehensive record of results across all four Cooperation Framework Outcomes and their respective Outputs. The RCO seeks the services of Online Volunteer to support the population, verification, and organization of data in UNINFO based on available Excel datasets, annual reports, and mid-year review inputs from UN agencies.
The Online Volunteer will work under the supervision of the RCO RBM Specialist (and in close coordination with the RCO Team) to:
a. Familiarization and Review (Day 1–2)
i. Review the UNSDCF Results Framework, including indicators under all four Outcomes and their associated Outputs. ii. Review the UNINFO downloaded Excel spreadsheet and cross-check with the UNSDCF Mid-Year Review (2025) and Annual Reports (2023 and 2024) to identify available data and gaps. iii. Familiarize themselves with the UNINFO interface and reporting structure, including indicator-level metadata and data-entry protocols.
b. Data Verification and Consolidation (Day 3–4)
i. Review and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across years (2023–2025). ii. Identify and flag any discrepancies or missing data for clarification with the RCO focal point. iii. Ensure alignment between the data in Excel files and the corresponding UNINFO indicators.
c. Data Entry and Quality Control (Day 5–8)
i. Input verified data into UNINFO for all relevant indicators under the four Cooperation Framework Outcomes and Outputs. ii. Ensure correct attribution of lead and contributing agencies. iii. Upload supporting narratives or evidence where required.
d. Final Validation and Reporting (Day 9-10)
i. Review all entries for completeness and accuracy. ii. Prepare a short completion report summarizing the data entered, issues encountered, and any pending data gaps. iii. Provide suggestions for improving the structure or usability of the current data tracking files.
The work will be done remotely under the supervision of the RCO Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in Juba, South Sudan.
