You have:
- Have skills, experience and interest in communication, editing and writing/storytelling.
- Have experience in working on Microsoft suite, including Excel, Outlook and SharePoint web design.
- Be someone who pays attention to details, is organized and is happy to take on various tasks.
- Experience and interest in employee recognition programmes is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.

The Internal Communication section in UNICEF’s Division of Communication in NYHQ is seeking three Online Volunteers for the 'Humans of UNICEF; programme to help manage communication with individual staff members who have been nominated. Key deliverables will be split between the Online Volunteers as follows: 1) Nominations management: process nominations on a rolling basis; send standard messages to nominees, prepare and send personalized certificates and trophy via Outlook; manage the list of nominations in an organized manner to provide an overview of communication and queries. 2) Content creation: assist with sourcing and content development (stories, photos): 3-4 stories per month. 3) Internal communication channels management: assist with updating the Humans of UNICEF online portal, Yammer and other comms channels; developing content production and publication plans for these channels and local promotion of Humans of UNICEF; assist with M&E of the programme.

Humans of UNICEF is a staff-led appreciation programme that identifies and celebrates individual colleagues who live UNICEF´s values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability. Objectives: 1) Appreciate individual colleagues who embody UNICEF’s core values and inspire them to be a positive driver of change. 2) Enhance understanding of UNICEF’s core values – of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability – across all offices and their meaning in practice. 3) Encourage engagement in positive communication and behaviours that fosters a value-based work culture, while also creating an inside-out UNICEF brand culture.
