Translation of capacity building resources and training assessments for one of our global research projects (www.justdoUFIT.com) looking at inclusion of people with disabilities in fitness centres. The original documents are written in English and we would like to have it translated into French. They contain training activities aimed at fitness instructors, to increase their self-efficacy working with people with disabilities. This task will help us to reach French-speaking countries and it will contribute to global sport policies and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, SDG number 10 'Reduced Inequalities'. The length of the documents is approx. 20000 words. Communication with the chosen Online Volunteer will be mainly via email.

    The UNESCO Chair ‘Transforming the lives of people with disabilities, their families, and communities through Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness’ core purpose is Mainstreaming Diversity in these domains. The mission centres on changing minds through influencing policy and changing lives through innovative practice and partnerships.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 3 weeks

    Enthusiastic Online Volunteer with excellent language skills in both English and French - Previous experience in translation (English-French) is highly desired - Knowledge in areas of sport, physical activity and inclusion would be ideal but not essential.
