Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
More than a decade of conflict has left Syria heavily contaminated with landmines and explosive ordnance, posing a continuous threat to people’s lives and slowing recovery efforts.
Today, as communities begin to return, rebuild, and restore their livelihoods, the risk is increasing.
Access to farmland, schools, hospitals, and markets remains unsafe; families cannot return safely or sustainably; Recovery efforts cannot scale on unsafe ground.
Mine action is more than lifesaving; it is a prerequisite for recovery, dignity, and stability in Syria.
This campaign, led jointly by the United Nations, Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management and NGOs in Syria, is a national call to protect people, enable recovery, and prevent further casualties.
This campaign is a call to say No more lives lost. No more futures delayed. No more mines.
