As an organization, we want to be able to create a long-lasting impact in the lives of our target beneficiaries. And to achieve this, we need resources. This is why we are calling for experienced volunteers to support us as we work to mobilize resources that would enable us realize our mission. This is what this assignment is about; to strengthen our capacity to mobilize resources.

We seek support for our organization’s fundraising campaign for a youth development project. The project is a capacity-building project that empowers young people to build sustainable organizations in Africa. The overall objective is to help us ensure our organization’s finances are sustainable and necessary funds are at our disposal to support the project's activities.

To this end, we are looking for three experienced volunteers who will become part of our fundraising team as online volunteers and help us with outreach and other fundraising-related tasks by developing fundraising strategies, sharing innovative fundraising ideas, researching potential donor organizations and funding opportunities, helping draft letters and correspondence, writing project proposal, providing advice on how to approach donors. The volunteers won't be asked to be in touch with third parties.

Candidates should have previous experience in prospect, development, or market research, preferably in the non-profit sector, superior analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex financial disclosure documents for wealth assessment, an understanding of the donor base that has an interest in African-based projects. The volunteers must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
