Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

UNV plans to conduct a market analysis on the landscape of online/virtual/digital volunteering platforms. With an increasing demand for digital solutions, accelerated through the COVID-19 pandemic, the overall goal is to understand the overall trend and direction to better align the UNV Online Volunteering service. This will ensure UNV’s service offer stays stellar and remains relevant to the UN systems’ efforts towards peace and development.

Therefore, through the scanning of regional and global relevant platforms and focus areas, such as operation, quality assurance, among others, these Online Volunteer assignments will support the market analysis and understanding of online/virtual/digital volunteering platforms.

We are seeking 7 Online Volunteers to support us in conducting a market screening of major online/virtual/digital volunteering platforms. To this end, the Online Volunteers are asked to:

  • screen one assigned regional market regarding other platforms similar to the UNV Online Volunteerism,

  • analyze identified platforms based on agreed parameters,

  • add main information about identified platforms in a prepared document,

  • additionally, focus on aspects of each platform per the agreed parameters.

Each selected Online Volunteer will be assigned a specific region to scan and provided with an Excel file to add the identified platforms and information.

Candidates should have knowledge of the region (Arab States, Asia Pacific, Europe/ CIS, East and South Asia, North America or Latin America/ Caribbean) and ideally are familiar with the regional volunteering landscape. In addition, previous experience in conducting mapping exercises or market analyses, preferred. Knowledge of any official UN language in addition to English is an asset.
