Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Papua New Guinea (PNG) grapples with energy challenges in its remote villages. Addressing this, we're initiating a research project on solar power implementation in these areas. This aligns with the MDF's mission of sustainable development and echoes the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. Partnering with Online Volunteers, we aim to pave a sustainable energy path for PNG's rural communities.

MDF seeks online volunteers to create a visual representation of our solar power initiatives in PNG's rural areas. Key responsibilities include: • Data Interpretation: Turn solar power research data into clear visuals. • Design: Craft a straightforward and impactful infographic. • Use of Icons: Include symbols that highlight solar power and its community benefits. • Revisions: Adjust the design based on MDF team's feedback. • Delivery: Produce a final infographic suitable for both online and print distribution. Throughout the assignment, online volunteers will collaborate closely with MDF PNG's team, receiving guidance and additional information as needed.

Upon successful completion of this task, online volunteers will receive certification through the UNV and a reference letter from MDF, acknowledging their invaluable contribution.

• Degree in Graphic Design or a related field. • Prior experience in creating infographics, preferably in renewable energy. • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva. • Ability to interpret and visualize complex data. • Strong written and spoken English skills. • Understanding of solar energy concepts and rural electrification challenges. • Openness to feedback and iterative design processes.
