At UNHCR Romania – HR and External Relations Departments, we create content to inform and engage our staff. We share these contents periodically through a newsletter. Additionally, we are working on developing a centralized hub of information (communication site) using available tools in Microsoft Office. Finally, we are preparing for the World Refugee Day in terms of creating communication materials. We believe that enhancing the visuals and design of these contents will make the information more understandable and facilitate better perception. Therefore, we are seeking a short-term online volunteer to support us professionally in designing through tools like Canva, Microsoft Office including SharePoint, or similar programs.
Our volunteer team member, with whom we will be collaborating, will be part of tasks aimed at creating covers, infographics, calendars, posters and formatting designs and SharePoint pages. Even for a short period, he/she will get familiar to the work of an international organization and will get to explore their creativity and be able to experiment different ideas in impactful projects.
At the UNHCR Romania - HR and External Relations Unit, we look for an online volunteer to work with us on three main projects: an HR newsletter designing a communication site with SharePoint and preparing designs for the World Refugee Day.
Content will be provided by UNHCR focal person. Expected designs and supporting tasks are as follows: 1. Newsletter - Create engaging infographics for articles and content sections; - Create a Sway Presentations of articles and interviews. - Adjust design templated for a variety of materials (e.g.: staff album, briefing note, posters, calendars, etc.)
- HR Communication SharePoint site
- Provide advice on the design structure of the website - Create visual material.
- Support graphic design for the World Refugee Day
- Adjust the existing designs for the campaign for the External Relations team; - Create new formats for the campaign.
The design/layout should follow the UNHCR design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
SPECIAL NOTICE: This is an unpaid assignment. Upon successful completion of the tasks, the Online Volunteer will receive a certificate issued by the United Nations Volunteer.
