The welcome center is an emergency shelter for migrants and Asylum Seekers who have recently been released from government custody. The Welcome Center aims to provide safe respite and supportive emergency services to Asylum Seekers while they coordinate travel to their new home in the US.

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the organization, valuation, procurement, and tracking of both purchased goods and in-kind donations, working closely with the Operations Supervisor and Inventory Specialist to ensure that supplies are delivered to clients and staff effectively at the Welcome Center. They are the primary point of contact for all procurement and purchasing areas. They are the primary supply chain point person for all financial system coordination, as well as for the inventory systems and data entry. The Supply Chain Coordinator will coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to streamline existing workflow systems, as well as help design, implement and upkeep new inventory/logistics protocols and systems.

This position requires strong organization and creative problem-solving skills, a high level of personal initiative, and the ability to work well in a distributed, multicultural, fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.

Major Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary point of contact for all procurement and purchasing activities in the Welcome Center. - Ensure all procurement occurs in accordance with IRC RAI supply chain and financial compliance guidelines. - Ensure all digital and physical procurement files are complete and up to date. - Coordinate timely vendor payments with Finance team. - Prepare and keep up to date comprehensive procurement tracking tools and provide regular, accurate and complete procurement status reports for all Welcome Center procurements including Purchase Requests, Requests for Quotations, Requests for Proposals, and Master Service or Purchase Agreements, and in-kind donations. - Conduct regular market surveys and proactively source suppliers for Welcome Center goods and services. - Manage off-site and on-site storage. - Coordinate administrative functions and maintenance for IRC vehicles. - Provide input and feedback to Operations Supervisor on vehicle issues.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience required.

Work Experience: 3 years’ demonstrated record of success in managing and improving the daily operational functions of an organization.

- Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities under pressure. - Strong analytic problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications. - Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time in a demanding, fast-paced environment. - Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure. - Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner. - Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed. - Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area. - In accordance with Arizona State Law, must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card.

Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, bilingual ability preferred in Spanish, Portuguese or other refugee/immigrant language used in Arizona. Strong cross-cultural understanding and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working Environment: The Phoenix Welcome Center is a 24-hour/7-day facility; flexible work hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends with regular contact with WC clients and volunteers is expected.
