You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration is an asset.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in logistics/Supply Chain with an international NGO.
- Excellent in Dari and Pashtu communication and good command in English.
- Previous experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Communication and reporting skills.
- Computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and internet) an advantage.
- Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background.
Job Description
- Maintain IRC Afghanistan Supply Chain policies and procedures. Ensure that these are available to all concerned staff in the field and communicated well. - Ensure compliance to Supply Chain policies and procedures and maintain an efficient procurement system for field office. - Procure Goods, Services, and work in accordance with IRC’ Afghanistan Procurement Policy and Procedures and donors’ regulations. - Ensure each procurement process is transparently completed and sufficient procurement support document obtained to feed both procurement and finance files with the required documents and full audit trail. - Under the direct supervision of Operations Magner, implement internal controls and establish a reasonable and appropriate lead-time for ordering and delivery of goods. - Ensure to assist the storekeeper and storage relevant activities whenever needed. - Ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods to programs / requestors. - Distribute monthly supply chain reports to the field CO. - To be able to learn and implement Budget Versus Actual (BVA) for all procurement relevant activities - Assist Supply chain officer/Staffs on the day-to-day supply chain activities and proper file keeping.
- Receiving and recording all PRs from the field. - To check all the orders and quotations to be placed and advertised. - Preparing and distributing quotation requests to vendors. Where applicable visit vendors to ensure their credibility and capacity. - To brief suppliers of specification of different goods. - To bring the procured goods to warehouse and enter into the stock cards. - Maintain Procurement Department files. Ensure all documentation is available and is properly filed. - To provide a reliable price list and organize the procurement catalogue. - Assist Logistics Manager to track and monitor purchase requests and orders. - On delivery of assets, ensure that the assets are registered and tagged as per the IRC policy and procedures.
