You have:

• One year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to GS-14 in the Federal service.
• Experience in providing intellectual leadership in agricultural genetics and agricultural input systems.
• Experience in formulating programmatic budgets and overseeing the budget cycle.
• Experience providing strategic direction on food security research programming.
• Experience with technology-transfer methodologies for genetic innovations.

Supervisory Agricultural Geneticist

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: (a) Providing intellectual leadership and generating recommendations, positions, and strategic interventions in the technical area of agricultural (crop or animal) genetics and agricultural input systems, including research and technology transfer; (b) Formulating programmatic budgets and overseeing the full budget cycle in compliance with institutional policies-including budget planning, determining annual funding allocations across a large portfolio of activities, overseeing obligation of funds, and monitoring expenditures and budget performance; (c) Providing strategic direction and leadership on the planning, development, and implementation of a significant portfolio of food security research-for-development programming, in order to advance food security outcomes and impacts; and (d) Experience with technology-transfer methodologies to advance genetic innovations from research to widespread use.
