KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the direct supervision of Logistics Assistant and the overall supervision by the Logistics Associate in Maungdaw Office, the incumbent will perform the following duties: -

• Receive all types of the WFP food commodities and non-food items. • Report on the quality, quantity of the received commodities and ensure that quantities dispatched as per consignor’s and endorse documents. • Maintain clean and pest-free storing conditions and ensure good warehousing practices. • Supervise the off-loading/loading and stacking of the commodities, follow up tracking of the commodities in pipeline and report back to the appropriate personnel. • Control incoming goods and non-food items by such methods as physical counts, random weight checks, rejection of any spoiled commodity, reconditioning of underweight bags as per management suggestions, etc. • Sign on the waybills of receive and dispatch cargoes. • Deliver goods on request against official and approved documentation. • Keep and update records on stack cards, stock ledger and/or computer inventory lists by adhering WFP standard procedures and cooperative system regularly. • Make periodic physical inventory checks and timely report of daily dispatch and food movements (DSMR) reports. • Liaise and coordinate with program colleagues, transporters, CPs, and others on matters pertaining to logistics operations. • Report on and, in consultation with others, take appropriate action for the disposal of spoilt commodities as per WFP’s procedures. • Take appropriate precaution measures of COVID-19 and social distancing as per needed. • Provide overall supervision of warehouse staff and train to other Logistics Tallies and casual laborers etc... • Timely capture of the data into WFP’s LESS system for warehouse activities. (Food receiving, dispatching, handover to CPs and, etc.) • Support on the logistics works and handle other warehouse operations based on needs. • Perform other related duties as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable. Language: Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of local language is an asset.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

• Experience using logistics databases to extract routine reports. • Experience in managing warehouses with food and NFIs. • Experience in managing inventories. • Experience in processing invoices.
