You have:

  • 1-2 years of practical experience in statistics, data analysis, or data management
  • Experience in statistical analysis, data processing, and reporting; experience in anti-corruption, transparency, or governance-related data is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and professionally with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both on-site and remotely as needed
  • Teamwork skills and cultural sensitivity; ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

The Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (established under Law No. 7 of 2010, amending the Illicit Gains Law No. 1 of 2005) is an independent body responsible for enforcing anti-corruption legislation, raising public awareness, preventing corruption, and facilitating international cooperation. The National Observatory collects, monitors, and analyzes data on integrity, transparency, and corruption indicators to inform national anti-corruption policies and prevention strategies. This UNV assignment supports the Observatory’s mission by contributing to data analysis, visualization, and reporting activities..

This United Nations Volunteers (UNV) assignment is part of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s flagship initiative to strengthen the National Observatory for Integrity and Anti-Corruption Indicators. The Observatory collects and analyzes national and sectoral data on corruption, transparency, and integrity to inform policy development, prevention measures, and awareness campaigns. Key stakeholders include government ministries, international organizations, research institutions, and civil society organizations. Outcomes include improved data-driven reporting, enhanced monitoring of corruption indicators, and strengthened national integrity policies.

• Collect, clean, and analyze datasets feeding into the National Observatory. • Categorize, process, and visualize data in a scientific manner to support Observatory reporting. • Contribute to the development of data presentation tools and dashboards. • Assist the team in ad-hoc statistical tasks as requested by the Team Leader of the National Observatory. • Provide technical input to enhance data management systems.

As a national UN Volunteer, the volunteer will be responsible for arranging housing and living essentials. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) ILS 2692.06 is provided monthly. Life, health, and permanent disability insurance is included
