The role of the Staff Care Officer is to support Staff Care Coordinator in implementing staff care obligations to ensure staff well-being, manage work related stress and maintain a healthy working environment.

Generic responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
  2. Assist a range of support with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action.
  3. Provide support in organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
  4. Draft reports on Staff Care as required by the Staff Care Coordinator.
  5. Ensure proper filing of documents related to Staff Care.
  6. Show initiative in tasks solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities, and standards to implement NRC Staff Care Program within Ukraine offices.
  7. Share ideas for improvement in expertise.

Specific responsibilities:

  1. Support the Staff Care Coordinator in implementing staff care initiatives (like organizing group sessions for staff to promote self-care practices among staff, organize an office library and materials on self- and staff-care and stress-management available for the staff; organize stress management practices and tools).
  2. Support the Staff Care Coordinator in ensuring smooth and timely medical insurance process for national staff, including preparation of the relevant documentation: a. keep the national staff list under insurance regularly updated (include new staff, and exclude the resigned staff members); b. ensure correctness and accuracy of the staff information provided to insurance company; c. prepare letter-applications and all the documents needed for the staff to be included into the health insurance program d. support in collection of statistical data, staff feedback and claims related to health insurance program; e. support in organizing regular on-line sessions for national staff related to updates in insurance program
  3. Support the Staff Care Coordinator in organizing on-line and offline sessions on Staff Care, as well as contribute to staff induction sessions in issues related to staff care: a. draft agendas, pre-session questionnaires, preparation of materials, post-session feedback collection. b. contribute to development of new initiatives.
  4. Support the Staff Care Coordinator in conducting staff surveys and questionnaires (drafting surveys in Office 365 Forms application, aggregating the feedback information for analysis)
  5. Ensure proper filing of the documents related to Staff Care duties and ensure their confidentiality.

Competencies Competencies are important in order for the employee and the organisation to deliver desired results. They are relevant for all staff and are divided into the following two categories: Professional competencies for this position:

  • Complete higher education (Bachelor or Maters Degree), preferably in psychological area.
  • Relevant experience in Staff Care and wellbeing
  • At least one year of experience area in a big, structured company (international or humanitarian context).
  • Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, craft or technical field and ideally a relevant vocational qualification.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Fluent Ukrainian
  • Good spoken and written English.
