iDE Bangladesh is currently seeking a potential to join our Human Resources Unit as Sr. Officer-HR & OD. This position will play a vital role in coordinating the Performance Appraisal (PA) Management Process, ensuring its smooth and effective implementation throughout the organization and in alignment with the organization's objectives and values. The successful candidate will also take the lead in driving capacity-building initiatives from the HR Unit, designing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff members. In addition, the incumbent will actively facilitate organization-wide staff development and engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
The position will be responsible for facilitating awareness-building initiatives pertaining to the organization's mandatory policies on safeguarding. These policies encompass areas such as Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Fraud, Anti-Harassment, Whistleblower, Protection, and Child Safeguarding, among others. The Deputy HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that all employees are well informed and educated about these policies, fostering a safe and respectful work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Sr. Officer-HR & OD will include the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management:
● Coordinate the Performance Appraisal (PA) management process in alignment with the organization's objectives and values.
● Conduct workshops and training sessions to orient staff on the performance management system and process.
● Collaborate with line managers to ensure timely submission of PA documents and review the PA systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
Capacity Building & Staff Development:
● Identify training resources such as individuals, institutes, courses, and documents, and lead capacity-building initiatives on various topics.
● Collect, compile, and classify staff development needs based on annual appraisals and align them with current and future program and organizational demands.
● Explore opportunities for informal on-the-job learning to enhance team development and support sectors to take the initiative.
● Act as an information hub for training resources and facilitate organization-wide staff development and engagement initiatives.
Staff onboarding and awareness raising:
● Plan and facilitate comprehensive orientation programs for new employees
● Regularly update the orientation module based on feedback and findings.
● Assist to organize and facilitate staff training sessions and awareness programs on safeguarding topics, including PSEA, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Harassment, Whistleblower, and Child Safeguarding policies, to promote a safe and respectful work environment.
Staff Separation & Organizational Development:
● Manage staff separation process, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
● Facilitate exit interviews and prepare strategic analysis reports to inform organizational development initiatives.
Staff Engagement and Organizational Insights:
● Plan and coordinate various HR events, including motivational and celebratory activities, to foster engagement and enhance organizational culture.
● Develop and administer staff surveys, such as those focusing on satisfaction, mutual respect, and the working environment, and compile actionable reports to inform organizational improvement strategies.
Other Responsibilities
● Assist to develop and disseminate HR policies as and when required.
● Assist line supervisor to collaborate with the POSH committee and relevant stakeholders to address safeguarding concerns.
● Maintain a yearly incident log and share it with the Senior Management Team (SMT) for analysis and system strengthening.
● Assist in recruitment and Selection as and when required
● Represent iDE at external events and meetings as agreed with the line supervisor;

Requirements
Candidates are expected to have the following qualification, skills, and experience
Education
● Master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Public Administration, Management, Business Administration, or other relevant field .
Work Experience
● A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation; experience of working any INGO will be a plus.
● Demonstrated experience and expertise in effectively managing the HR performance review process, providing strategic guidance to HR staff, and fostering collaboration with other departments.
● Hands on professional experience in designing, organizing, and delivering staff capacity building and employee engagement initiatives.
● Sound understanding in organizational culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee relations.
● Proficiency in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA);
● Ability to identify and select appropriate training resources;
● Sound understanding of safeguarding issues (knowledge of policies and practices related to the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, fraud, anti-harassment, whistleblower protection, child safeguarding, etc.) would be a plus;
Personal Skills
● Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bangla;
● Demonstrated ability to convey messages through clear and concise way;
● Ability to strategies innovative human resources approaches to address employee-related needs;
● Proven critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex HR challenges;
● Flexibility to adapt to different work conditions and
● Proficiency in MS Word, power point, excel as well as G suite is must
Physical Ability and Mindset
● Ability to travel to the field as needed to engage and conduct various organizational HR training;
● Ability to understand and support managers, supervisors, and staff while ensuring fair and consistent application of HR regulations and rules.
