Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

With a view to better meeting the Malagasy government's commitments under the Rio Conventions, the Government of the Republic of Madagascar is implementing a project with the support of the UNDP and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) entitled "Strengthening national capacities to meet global environmental obligations within the framework of sustainable development priorities".

The project’s purpose is to help the Malagasy government to achieve and maintain the benefits deriving from the three Rio Conventions. The immediate objective of this project is to strengthen a targeted set of national capacities to deliver and maintain global environmental outcomes within the framework of sustainable development priorities. The project includes five components: - Component 1: A national sustainable development strategy/plan fully integrates the obligations of the Rio Convention; - Component 2: A more sustainable mobilization of financial resources ; - Component 3: An Environmental Management Information System, established to improve monitoring and assessment of global environmental impacts and trends at national level; - Component 4: Strengthened institutional structures and mechanisms for integrating and enforcing compliance with the Rio Conventions in sectoral and regional development planning frameworks; - Component 5: Public awareness and sensitization on Rio conventions

• Élaborer le plan de suivi-évaluation du projet sur la base du cadre des résultats et des indicateurs du projet en s’assurant de l’ancrage avec plan de suivi-évaluation du programme pays ;
• Mettre en œuvre le plan de suivi-évaluation du projet ;
• Collecter et matérialiser à travers des rapports ou articles (Avec photo à l’appui) les évidences pour justifier les actions contribuant à la réalisation des indicateurs ;
• Collecter les données/informations nécessaires pour le suivi des indicateurs
• Appuyer le coordonnateur dans la production et diffusion des rapports ;
• Appuyer la mise à jour des rapports trimestriels et annuels et du journal des risques sur Quantum ;
• Appuyer l’équipe de coordination et des groupes techniques ou thématiques dans l’élaboration des plans de travail et de suivi-évaluation des activités de chaque composante ;

• Exécuter toutes autres tâches utiles pour la bonne déroulement des activités du projets;

Le lieu d'affectation est Antananarivo, la capitale du pays où, le coût de la vie est moyen. De nombreuses écoles sont disponibles et la communication est de plus en plus facile. Il est aisé d’obtenir un téléphone avec une connexion Internet (les connexions sont parfois lentes). Il est également facile de trouver un bon logement pour une personne seule ou une famille, et les prix sont moyen.
