Overview
Lead WASH activities for community support in Haiti.
You have:
- A degree in civil engineering or equivalent in hydraulics, sanitation engineering, environmental engineering, water resource management, or similar; a master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including proven experience in design and construction of WASH projects and team supervision, preferably in emergency WASH projects/programs.
- Confirmed expertise in technical design of WASH infrastructures (specifications, BOQ, plans) and quality management of works.
- Good experience working with government technical services (DINEPA/OREPA), contractors, international and national NGOs, UN agencies, and humanitarian coordination structures.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes, including SPHERE, 'Do No Harm' and WHO.
- Experience in implementing donor-funded projects.
- Experience in evaluation, monitoring and market analysis in emergencies, and budget management capacity.
- Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, GPS, ArcGIS and Google Earth.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and simultaneous task management skills, as well as report writing.
- Fluency in French (oral and written) required; knowledge of English is an advantage; mastery of Creole.
