This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Our organization is UNEP and UNCCD accredited organization having special consultative status with UN ECOSOC. We are working to address SDG 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17. For a long time, we have been publishing 'Weekly World Climate Change News' and now we are extending our reach to also cover information on United Nation SDGs.

Through weekly news, the project aims to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals and update the general public on the actions taken worldwide to reach the goals. It is crucial to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for several reasons such as Mobilizing Action, Creating a Sense of Ownership, Fostering Accountability, Leveraging Resources and Shaping Policies and Priorities.

It is imperative to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals in order to foster individual and collective responsibility, drive action, promote accountability, and mobilize resources toward the SDGs. Ultimately, it contributes to a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable future for all by empowering individuals, shaping policies, and encouraging collaboration.

Through this collaboration, Online Volunteers will produce content that informs and engages readers on Sustainable Development Goals. The tasks would include:

  1. Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date and collect information on the latest developments, trends, and challenges related to the SDGs. Conduct thorough research on specific goals or topics and analyze relevant data and reports to gather accurate information.

  2. Finding stories: Identify newsworthy stories, success stories, case studies, and initiatives that highlight progress, innovations, and challenges related to the SDGs. Explore local, national, and international sources to uncover stories that are relevant and impactful.

  3. Content creation: On the basis of research and analysis making the best possible content suitable to publish on YouTube/Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn. Please consider if content demands voiceover, appearance on screen, and video editing.

  4. Publishing the content: Contents need to be uploaded weekly on a given social media channel. Admin access will be provided.

  5. Audience Engagement: Communicate with readers via comments and social media (on behalf of Universal Versatile Society according to our guideline).

For news writing, the UN News sources will be provided, they need to collect the top 7 trending stories of the week, which can be further shared to the content creation team which includes anchoring, interviews, field reporting, video editing, etc.

This will be weekly task and selected online volunteers are required to follow the deadlines very strictly. All the selected 4 online volunteers would work on above mentioned task on weekly basis.
