You have:

  • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in social science and humanities, education, media and communications, international development or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in providing technical and organizational support for project/programme management, including planning, design, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and reporting, preferably with UN agencies.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Russian is required.
  • Experience of working in the field of media and/or communications in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong understanding of social media functioning.

IITE is the only UNESCO Category 1 Institute that holds a global mandate for ICT in education. Long Description ---------------- **MAIN TASKS AND SERVICES** --------------------------- Under the overall supervision of the Director of UNESCO IITE and direct supervision of the Chief of ICT in Health Education Unit (ICTHE), the incumbent shall serve as a Senior Programme Assistant and perform the following tasks in close coordination with the ICTHE team as well as with colleagues at UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and Health and Education Section at UNESCO HQs: Long Description ---------------- - Oversee and coordinate programme/project management and implementation support activities for IITE projects aimed at advancing UNESCO’s Education for Health and Well-being (EHWB) agenda in Central Asia and Eastern Europe, including support to effective planning and implementation of EHWB projects focused on non-formal and formal health and well-being education and youth awareness raising and empowerment in digital space through meaningful, inclusive, safe and ethical integration of AI and ICT-powered tools. - Coordinate implementation of activities on preventing violence, bullying, and cyberbullying, as well as provide technical support for the integration of psycho-social and emotional well-being and skills building into the non-formal health and well-being education and awareness raising through youth led and youth serving digital platforms. - Support implementation of activities related to research and knowledge management to advance non-formal education on health and well-being and awareness raising in digital space and with integration of AI and ICT-powered tools, including assistance in collecting and analyzing data, identifying good practices, lessons learnt and innovations and their integration into the programme implementation, including across multilanguage platforms and applications. - Assist in preparation of new and update of existing multilanguage versions of educational platforms, courses, AI-applications, teaching and learning materials, policy and good practice briefs, case studies and other resources. Proofread documents and publications. Provide informal translation as requested. - Provide assistance in the development of project concepts and workplans, draft calls for proposals, terms of reference, contractual agreements, and other documents as required in accordance with the UNESCO Guidelines and Regulations. - Coordinate organization of knowledge-sharing and awareness raising online and in-person activities, including workshops, consultations, conferences, webinars as well as youth events and activities. Assist with the preparation of work-related travel for staff members and partners. - Prepare communication and visibility materials, including presentations, event highlights, and website and social media content, in line with UNESCO communication guidelines in Russian and English languages. - Provide logistical and administrative support to ensure smooth programme implementation in close coordination with implementing partners and stakeholders. Understanding of audience segmentation and experience using diverse tools and approaches to expand reach, foster engagement, and raise awareness effectively across social media platforms popular with young people. - Familiarity with the priorities and work of UNESCO in health and well-being education, as well as the use of ICT in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. **BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS** ----------------------------- This is a full-time assignment under the UNESCO Service Contract modality which follows the official working hours of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education in Moscow, Russian Federation. Estimated monthly salary for this position is approximately 163,570 RUB. In addition, UNESCO will make a pension contribution up to a maximum of 10% and medical insurance contribution up to a maximum of 5% of remuneration as its sole contribution upon proof of enrolment in a relevant pension and/or medical insurance schemes.
