Contract

This is a DRC - National contract. More about DRC - National contracts.

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a non-governmental humanitarian organization, founded in 1956 to support refugees and migrants in Denmark. With a growing global mandate, it has developed into one of the world’s leading global humanitarian organizations working on displacement.

We are constantly evolving and developing cutting edge programs ranging from humanitarian mine action and disarmament, approaches to ensure that our programs benefit the hard to reach, involve and mobilize the diaspora into the humanitarian ecosystem, and dive deep into research on displacement through the mixed migration center we are hosting.

Given the rapidly mounting number of people requiring assistance in the last few years, DRC constantly looks for ways to strengthen the efficiency and appropriateness of the humanitarian ecosystem and to develop jointly new approaches to prevent people from requiring assistance such as anticipatory action, peace building, stabilization and long-term development.

To fundraise, influence, research and communicate, DRC has offices in the global North in Copenhagen, Brussels, Geneva and recently opened in Berlin, Germany. DRC has also decided to open a presence in Washington DC . Last year, we worked in 41 countries and had 8,000 staff members worldwide.

About the job

As Senior Partnership Advisor covering the German institutional donors you will be a core member of the DRC office in Berlin, Germany working closely with and reporting to the Country Representative. The Senior Partnership Advisor oversees the engagement and fundraising efforts focusing primarily on institutional donors with an initial focus on the GFFO (AA) and BMZ. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the strategic planning and leading donor-specific engagement plans in collaboration with colleagues and key internal stakeholders, namely Regional Business Development Coordinators and Regional Head of Programs, HQ Finance, HQ Operations, Code of Conduct, MEAL, Advocacy, and Programme Units.
