Job Description

Technical Quality

- Adhere to and proactively promote the women-, girl- and survivor-centred support approach, and the FSP guiding principles. - Ensure at all times a women, girl and survivor-centred approach throughout all activities and services you and the team provide; this includes ensuring confidentiality of survivors, and respect for their wishes and decisions. - Providing any supports need for conducting Dignity Kit Distribution and maintain all Dignity kits distribution documentation. - Manage team during assessment of Clients for dignity kits distribution. - Provide technical support to outreach officers during conducting FGDs, safety audit, community mapping and awareness sessions. - Providing budget report of grants, spending plans, purchase request and procurement plan. - Provide weekly report to FSP Manager.

Community Outreach and Risk Reduction Support

- Adhere to the FSP guiding principles throughout all FSP outreach and engagement interventions. This includes ensuring confidentiality of survivors, and respect for their wishes and decisions. - Work with the FSP team to develop and conduct regular safety audits, Focus Group Discussion, Community mapping to ensure safest possible programming for women and girls. - Work with FSP team to ensure that women and girls’ safe spaces and programming are responding to the evolving needs of community.

Staff Supervision and Development

- Conduct a weekly scheduled team meeting for all staff at the Centre to discuss programming progress, successes, challenges, quality and areas for improvement, adaptation, or change; feedback to the Snr FSP Program Officer and put in place an action plan. - Conduct weekly check-in meetings with the incentive workers and volunteers to ensure they are supported in their roles and have what they need to run their activities; support on recruiting these positions for the center. - Directly supervise the family Support Centre Programming and ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, communicating clear expectations.

Monitoring and Reporting:

- In cooperation with the Family Support manager, continuously monitor activities, assessing their relevance to the needs, priorities and interests of women and adolescent girls at community level. - Keep close track of indicators on a monthly, and flag to the FSP-manager when programs is behind of activity implementation.

Coordination

- Conduct ongoing focus group discussions with women and adolescent girls to inform program activities; and working with the FSP team in the Centre to ensure response to the evolving needs of women and girls and their communities. - Maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and other implementing partners. - Complete monthly activity reports, according to guidance provided by the WPE manager.

Other

- Ability to travel to villages throughout relevant province districts and other provinces in which IRC operates, including but not limited. - The ability and willingness to travel throughout Herat province during emergencies to provide essential FSP CM services. - Complete attendance sheets for relevant activities and contribute to monthly activity reports. - Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partners and other sector staff. - Other relevant duties as assigned by the FSP Manager to support the implementation and quality of the program.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social science, or related field. - 3-4 years of experience in Community engagement ,women and girls related programming and supervisory role. - Clear understanding of the impact and dynamics of FSP on women and girls - Direct experience in providing basic counselling, psychosocial support, and delivering services to women and girls. - Experience providing training and mentoring to others. - Experience in supervising staff, activity design, planning and monitoring, and overseeing direct services. - Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients. - Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting. - Ability to discuss sensitive issues with respect, empathy, and professionalism. - Knowledge and experience with community outreach and mobilization - Familiarity with principles of monitoring and evaluation; experience in writing brief narrative reports and data reporting. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with Word/Excel - Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English - Ability of raise PR, spending plan, procurement plan and skills of budget management.
