Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Senior Operations Specialist is assigned to the Afghanistan Resident Mission (AFRM) within the Central and West Department (CWRD). Upon reopening of the AFRM Kabul Office, your duty station will be in AFRM, Kabul Afghanistan. Prior to the reopening, your duty station will be in ADB HQ, Manila Philippines.

You will report to Country Director, AFRM. You may supervise national staff and administrative staff.

Your Role

As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will provide support to the Country Director (CD) in leading the planning, implementation and supervision of AFRM's vision, goals, strategies, and work plan in support of overall ADB goals and ensure that the efficiency, relevance and impact of ADB Operations in Afghanistan (AFG) is maximized.

Additional Information

ADB will be rolling-out a new job grading structure on 1 January 2025, which may result in a change of the position grade and title with no change in the terms of reference.
