Join our new Sudan Analysis Hub as Senior Analyst! You will contribute to ACAPS’ timely analysis of the humanitarian crises, thus enabling crisis responders to make better informed decisions. As Senior Analyst you will supervise the planning, production, and quality of the ACAPS analytical reports and support the Team Leader with networking, partnerships, and fundraising efforts. Only Kenyan nationals will be considered. Arabic skills, asset.

Sudan Analysis Hub

ACAPS is establishing a new Analysis Hub covering the humanitarian situation in Sudan.

As an independent actor without sectoral or thematic biases, ACAPS’ approach will be to consolidate and triangulate available public and non-public information and help humanitarian decision-makers make sense of the complex crisis situation, by providing in-depth analysis, and clear, strong narratives around drivers of needs, humanitarian priorities, and potential future humanitarian impacts.

Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Hub will be constituted of one Senior Analyst, three Information Analysts, one Data Analyst and one Data Collector. The team will be based in Nairobi and Amman.

Purpose of the position

The Senior Analyst supervises the planning, production, and quality of the ACAPS analytical reports produced by the analysts. S/he also contributes to this production by writing and delivering analysis and contribute to the development and improvement of ACAPS methodologies. The Post holder leads on-the-job training for the analysts of the project and supports the Team Leader with networking, partnerships, and fundraising efforts.
