Job Description

The IRC Senior Analysis and Reporting Officer is a key position responsible for the analysis and reporting of information collected through monitoring and open source activities. This position will ensure the high quality, relevance and good articulation of all written products issued by PRoL, including internal, public and donor reports.

Main Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)

- Gather, analyze and visualize data from a wide range of sources to support the production of engaging and actionable reports and information products. - Contribute to the design and development of regular written outputs, reports and information products, including, but not limited to the Protection Monitoring Report, briefing notes, executive summary, snapshot, sit-rep. analytical and statistical reports, displacement profiles, maps and other relevant products. - Provide technical guidance to teams and ensure the availability of highly articulated protection trends analysis which includes quantitative and qualitative data on an ongoing basis, and ad hoc basis as required. - Closely coordinate with the Senior Protection Manager – Protection Monitoring and the Senior Referrals and Partnerships Officer to facilitate alignment of all outputs with IRC Standards. - Identify and coordinate additional analyses in close collaboration with the relevant PROL staff. - Organize appropriate dissemination products and presentations that highlight key findings, definitions, and trends that are relevant to evidence-based programming among humanitarian as well as recovery and durable solutions response actors. - Research, analyze, draft and format internal and external programme reports and documents. Proof-read documents, attend meetings, take meeting minutes, and provide administrative support as requested by the supervisor. - Contribute to the elaboration of donors reporting products including concept notes, proposals, projects reporting outputs as well as other deliverables as deemed necessary. - Work alongside the PRoL Deputy Coordinator and the ProL Coordinator to provide input for the development of new project proposal, as required and the overall protection program strategy. - Conduct research to support survey design, assessment preparation, and report development. - Liaise with relevant authorities, United Nations (UN) agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), think tanks, government authorities, and other stakeholders, and participate in relevant meetings. - Support the role and functions of PRoL within cluster activities. - Participate in ‘PRoL Team Leads Meetings’ with other Senior Managers to strengthen the overall coordination of PRoL Programming across Lebanon. - Maintain an active presence in relevant humanitarian coordination fora, including as Co-Chair of the relevant Protection Working Groups alongside donors. - Develop and maintain effective coordination with key donors, including UNHCR and other external stakeholders. Effectively represent IRCs in external fora, including on key policy positions. - Follow up with protection managers and reporting officers as necessary and, over time, help build their capacity in presenting and providing analysis for information when possible. - Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Work Experience:

- At least two years of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international organization in protection projects. Experience in writing technical documents, translating/planning specifications to technical briefs for data capture/analysis, and compiling diverse datasets is preferred. - Good protection background and knowledge of refugee context.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

- Demonstrated knowledge of protection and gender concepts. - Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail. - Ability to interpret data and identify humanitarian needs and trends based on data analysis. - Strong English language skills, oral and written. - Solid experience in drafting donor reports and external representation. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. - Ability to travel to provide on-site guidance and training. - Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines. - Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. - Demonstrated excellent knowledge of and experience in using electronic databases and information and communication technology (ICT) platforms for digital data collection and automated reporting. - Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, International relations of other similar field.

Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic and advanced English required,

Working Environment:

Located in Beirut or any other field office. This position includes frequent travels to all the offices and IRC areas of activities in Lebanon. It is estimated that this position will be approximately 70% office based and 30% field based.
