About the position

The tropical Forages program is seeking for an Analyst responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative and financial support to the Forages Program. The Analyst provides efficient and reliable administrative and financial support to the Forages Program, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

The position contributes to the effective delivery of projects by monitoring budgets, preparing reports, coordinating with support units, and serving as a focal point for financial and administrative processes, thereby enabling timely decision-making and smooth program implementation, under the direct supervision of the Forages Program Leader and Program Management Officer (PMO).

The position will be based in the operations center of the Americas, located in the Campus of Palmira, Colombia. The office is located in Campus Laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as the focal point for processing requests made by research staff, in compliance with institutional policies and procedures, to contribute to the efficient delivery of projects.

· Support program teams in preparing budget estimates and expenditure forecasts by analyzing and monitoring resource availability against planned activities.

· Monitor budget execution and provide leadership with monthly execution reports.

· Track commitments in the system and ensure they are duly formalized/legalized before project closure.

· Prepare scheduled recurring reports as well as other reports for the Program Leader, Principal Investigators, PMO, and project leaders, maintaining and updating spreadsheets and databases for internal control.

· Maintain an overall view of the financial status of projects to ensure timely and effective administrative support in both general and specific areas.

· Work closely with non-research support areas (GMU, HR, PLANS, Legal Office, among others) to ensure effective service delivery for Forages research teams.

Terms of Employment

This is an internal call at a BG06, within a 14-level scale where level 14 is the highest.

This is a national internal recruitment in Colombia and will be administered through a one (1) year fixed-term contract, subject to a probationary period in accordance with local labor legislation, and renewable based on performance and availability of resources.
