Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Our organization is a UNEP and UNCCD accredited organization working to address SDG 12, 13, 14 and 15.

As part of our mission, we have been publishing Weekly World Climate Change (WWCC) News for three years of which while working on this project we have also felt the need of publishing news related to the United Nations as there is no dedicated channel available which regularly updates the global audiences about the works of the United Nations, impacts made, events & happenings, career options, alerts (if any), etc. To achieve SDG's, it is necessary to make the public aware of the emphasis that United Nations is making, events they are organizing, impact their system is creating. Thus we are intending to provide the updates of United Nations to the global audiences by publishing the news on entire United Nations system.

For that purpose, this online assignment is created to help our organisation in gaining greater international presence and audience, as it is essential to support one of our mission which is to coordinate the available resources and expertise to promote SDGs. Further, this task will also contribute in advancing the SDGs as it is associated with SDG Goal No.17 on 'Partnership for the Goals'.

This assignment would also benefit the Online Volunteers in gaining knowledge of the United Nations and its works.

We are seeking the support from three Online Volunteers to work on researching sources of news from various departments associated with the United Nations. Further, the Online Volunteers will also help in providing advice on which area to emphasize more and which not.

The selected Online Volunteers would study and research on the works of the United Nations through various websites and will give us the inputs to move on to the project.

Please note that the selected 3 Online Volunteers requires to search the sources of the news only, and compile them. Once they cite the sources, our news writers will collect news from these sources to publish it via YouTube channel as we are doing similarly with WWCC News.

The three Online Volunteers are required to have the following proficiency or skill sets:

  1. Basic knowledge of working of United Nations and SDGs
  2. Minimum qualification is Graduate or Post Graduate
  3. Should have willingness to work for humanitarian cause.
