The assignment is online. The UNV will report directly to the Inter-agency Coordination Specialist who will provide guidance on priorities. The incumbent will gain knowledge about UN Women’s UN System Coordination Mandate, priorities and work with country and regional offices, and UNCTs; increase their understanding of UNCT-SWAP, UNCT-GEM and the UN System reforms agenda; gain familiarity with UN Women’s and system-wide corporate reporting.

The UNCT Team within UN Women's Coordination Division oversees the following areas of work:

• Implementing system-wide accountability frameworks and tools on gender mainstreaming, UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard and the UNCT Gender Equality Marker (GEM); • Overseeing corporate processes that are at the core of UN Women’s priorities such as the QCPR monitoring and SG reporting; • Supporting the reporting on the implementation of the UNDS reform and engagements with UNSDG; • Positioning UN Women at the heart of the UN system in the field and enhancing the gender architecture and accountability towards gender equality of the UN System in countries.

Conduct research and data analysis for the UNCT Team:

• Conduct data analysis and research related to the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard (UNCT-SWAP), UNCT Gender Equality Marker (UNCT-GEM), and UN System reforms agenda. • Support the drafting of minutes, notes, briefs, Talking Points, Briefing Notes, and other documents related to the research and data analysis conducted.

Support knowledge management, reporting and communications:

• Support analysis, compilation of information, and provision of data and other necessary information, including on the UNCT-SWAP and UNCT-GEM, and on UN Women’s contribution to the UN System reforms agenda in support of corporate reporting, knowledge management and communications. • Support the development of audiovisual materials, graphs, infographics and other visual analytical resources for publication.

Education: • You must be enrolled in a master’s, post-master’s, or doctorate programme or have completed any of these.
