Overview

Review MEAL plans and support data collection and analysis.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, statistics, business, or another relevant field; Master's preferred.
  • At least 5 years of MEAL experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or other statistical analysis software.
  • Experience programming forms in Kobo or other mobile data collection platforms.
  • Knowledge of GIS is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with an international agency or organization.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies, tools, and analysis for qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Experience in community development principles/practices, including participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
  • Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto.

Job Description

- Review MEAL plans and other monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning tools for consistency with MEAL needs - Review logical frameworks and indicator matrices to develop data collecting schedules for projects, maintain data management systems, and develop data analysis templates - Support MEAL field teams to collect data and capture it in appropriate databases - Program data collection forms in Kobo - Manage data verification and conduct analysis to ensure that learning is a central element of the project - Prepare MEAL reports according to project demands - Support the development of protocols for baseline, midterm, and end-lines survey, research, and evaluations of projects - Identify and document MEAL donor requirements to ensure compliance - Track the MEAL activities in the field and plan properly for MEAL activities implementation. - Conduct capacity building training and/or coaching for MEAL field staff, especially in data collection, conducting interviews, and data capturing - Document best practices/lessons learned and share findings to maximize project impact - Foster a productive relationship and information-sharing culture among field office staff and within the MEAL Unit. - Provide on-job training for the field team on regular basis.
