How can you make a difference?

Le but de la consultation est de fournir une assistance technique au CRES et en matière d’analyse des données économiques et socio-démographiques liées à la pauvreté monétaire et multidimensionnelle, notamment des enfants en Tunisie. Sous la supervision de l’équipe politiques sociales du bureau pays de l’UNICEF, le consultant devra assurer le bon déroulement des activités suivantes :

  1. Assurer la coordination entre le CRES, le bureau de UNICEF Tunisie et le centre de recherche d’UNICEF à Florence. Cette activité comprend l’organisation des réunions, de missions et d’activités de recherche.
  2. Renforcer l’équipe du CRES en matière de conceptualisation et d’analyse des déterminants de la pauvreté et des impacts de l’inflation sur les ménages pauvres, notamment des bénéficiaires des programmes d’assistance sociale (AMEN Social).
  3. Assurer le suivi et l’appui des activités de recherche dont la responsabilité revient au CRES.
  4. Appuyer le bureau d’UNICEF Tunisie et le CRES pour la finalisation, la diffusion et la publication des analyses de la vulnérabilité et de la pauvreté monétaire et multidimensionnelle des enfants, des impacts de l’inflation et des recommandations sur les arbitrages à mettre en œuvre pour le système national de protection sociale.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Un minimum de 10 ans d'expérience dans la conduite de travaux des statistiques et d’enquêtes ménages dont au moins 5 années en Tunisie ;
  • Solides compétences en méthodologies d’échantillonnage et de traitements statistiques ;
  • Solides compétences en économétrie avec STATA ou SPSS
  • Solides compétences et analyse des données statistiques;
  • Bonne connaissance de l’environnement des secteurs sociaux et des programmes de protection sociale en Tunisie ;
  • Solide expérience dans le domaine des analyses des différentes formes de pauvreté et de privations touchant les enfants ;
  • Expérience en analyse des données et rédaction de rapports analytiques

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
