Overview
Analyze MICS data to inform children's rights in Tunisia
You have:
- Master's degree in Demography, Statistics, Social Sciences, Epidemiology or closely related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis
- Knowledge and previous work experience within the country and/or region is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent understanding of the MICS survey and its documentation (snapshots, SFR, etc.)
- Familiarity with data processing and analysis software, especially SPSS is desirable

Le bureau de pays Tunisie de l'UNICEF a déjà appuyé les enquêtes MICS en 2000, 2006, 2011-2012 et 2018. Pour appuyer la Tunisie à mettre à jour les indicateurs de la situation des mères et des enfants Tunisiens, le bureau l'UNICEF Tunisie a appuyé une MICS dans le cadre du 6ème cycle du programme d'enquête, en 2023. L’enquête conduite par l’INS a été réalisée entre Mars et avril 2023. Cette enquête vient à un moment critique, après plusieurs années de crises qui ont eu un impact significatif sur la situation socio-économique globale et en Tunisie. Ces données mises à jour permettront également de faire état des progrès et des défis relatifs à 33 indicateurs ODD, afin d’orienter les investissements et les reformes à 7 ans de la date établie pour l’atteinte des objectifs de l’Agenda 2030.
La phase de collecte finalisée, les premier résultats produits et revus par les partenaires, le siège et le bureau régional de l’UNICEF. L’équipe MICS Tunisie est en phase de finalisation et de correction des erreurs soulevés par les différents experts et partenaires.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Titulaire d'un Master en Démographie, Statistiques, Sciences Sociales, Epidémiologies et tout autre domaine technique connexe
- Connaissance et expérience antérieure de travail dans le pays et / ou dans la région est hautement souhaitable
- Une expérience d’au moins 3 ans dans l’analyse des données
- Maitrise d’Excel
- Excellente connaissance de l’enquête MICS et des documents de l’enquête (snapshots, SFR, …)
- Familiarité avec les logiciels de traitement et d'analyse des données, en particulier SPSS est désirable
Proposition financière: Les candidat.e.s sont invité.e.s à produire une offre financière indiquant la rémunération totale (honoraires, frais de mission, etc.).

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
