We are looking for one Online Volunteer to re-design 16 workbooks in English (of around 10 pages each) to fit Spanish text using Canva for the online course "Indigenous Peoples at the United Nations." The Online Volunteer should have proofreading or translation experience. Availability for the month of June 2021 is required. The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the Learning for Nature team at UNDP and be part of a team of translators, as well as learn about the ways in which Indigenous Peoples can advocate at the United Nations.

    Learning for Nature is the e-learning platform by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Learning for Nature offers Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), self-paced courses, podcasts, and other e-learning opportunities. “Indigenous Peoples at the United Nations" is a free self-paced course that caters to participants who want to gain knowledge of the entry points for Indigenous Peoples’ engagement with various bodies and mechanisms of the United Nations. In general, Learning for Nature connects biodiversity policymakers, change-makers, and on-the-ground subject matter experts to facilitate the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Access to the global multi-stakeholder networks mobilized by these initiatives allows Learning for Nature to circulate knowledge while promoting best practices and engage over 30K course participants.

  • 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

    Candidates should have a native-level knowledge of Spanish and fluency in English.
