Job Title: Psychotherapist

Location: Trieste

Type of Employment: Consultancy (2 half days per week)

Period/duration: August 1, 2022 – September 30, 2022

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The Consultants will work closely to carry out the following activities:

- Conduct/participate in Mental Health, and Psychosocial needs assessment among the affected populations.

- Respond to the clients’ identified needs by conducting specific psychosocial individual level interventions and group activities (adapted and appropriate to each one’s specific needs and capacities).

- Under the supervision of the GBV and MHPSS Expert, discuss individual cases with the IRC team and advise on next steps to support vulnerable cases or refer them to other health professionals.

- Maintain close collaboration with the IRC team and participate in coordination meeting with stakeholders at the local level.

Qualifications:

- The qualified candidate is a psychotherapist and registered psychologist and must hold VAT number (Partita iva).

- 2 + years’ experience in working in the field of transcultural psychology.

- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, and familiarity with cultural mediation methodology.

- Significant experience in working women, children, and refugee population.

- Written and spoken English is also highly preferable. Italy is mandatory. Ability to work independently and to work in a PSS team.
