Job Description

Job Overview/Summary: The Protection Case Management Specialist will be responsible for implementation of relevant programming in line with applicable internal standards and SOPs, and will also lead on budget management, outcomes analysis and donor reporting in relation to EPA and tailored assistance for PWD. The role also includes building the Protection Officers’ capacity to use internal and external tools effectively, in accordance with relevant SOPs.

Major Responsibilities: Major responsibilities of the Protection Case Management Specialist are listed below:

- Provide direct technical supervision for the Protection Officers, including through liaising with Protection Managers in the field to ensure the submission of weekly workplans, weekly meetings and professional development opportunities in-line with performance monitoring and evaluation plans. - Discuss job expectations, set objectives and provide appropriate feedback on performance, including timely implementation of the annual staff performance management system. - Clearly define the training needs of direct reports and ensure they are able to access training and professional development resources appropriate to their skill gaps/needs. - Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions including staff development plans. - Ensure safe and effective implementation of emergency cash assistance and tailored support for people living with disabilities, by monitoring quality of eligibility assessments, frequency and quality of follow up, and providing direct technical support to staff engaged in the activity. - Manage project budgets related to EPA and tailored support for PWD. - Lead implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities related to EPA and tailored support for PWD, including contribution to data collection tool design, organization of data collection, analysis and drafting of findings and recommendations. - Produce monthly reports on activities based on IRC tools, and draft input for donor reporting in relation to EPA and tailored support to PWD. - Conduct other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

- The qualified candidate must have a degree in psychology, mental health counseling or social work, or other relevant qualification and/or experience.

Work Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social work or a related field. - Familiarity with case management for persons with mental health issues, disabilities, security concerns and/or serious and ongoing medical conditions is required. - Previous experience training case management/social work staff is required. - Previous experience with project and budget management is highly desirable. - Experience supporting male survivors of sexual violence, torture and LGBTI persons is desirable.

- Knowledge of and experience in using established inter-agency standards and guidelines in MHPSS, such as the IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings is desirable.

Language Skills:

- Ability to communicate and write clearly in English is required.

Myanmar nationals with relevant skills sets and proven experience of working at international level are strongly encouraged.
