Objective of the task is to collaborate with an online volunteer for the purpose of strengthening UNHCR’s communication with external audiences, including refugees, government authorities and partners.
The Protection/Communications Online Volunteer is a member of the Protection Unit and will report to the Community-Based Protection Officer. UNHCR provides support to the Government in protection and realization of solutions for forcibly displaced and stateless persons. In this context, UNHCR is seeking support in enhancing the visibility of its activities and strengthening its communication with refugee communities across Czechia. As such, the selected online volunteer will primarily:
Support UNHCR’s work in highlighting the realities of refugees in the Czech Republic by writing and showcasing human stories from the field; supporting the compilation of soundbites and quotes from refugees; and supporting the development of products for external audiences.
Support UNHCR’s work in communicating with communities by assisting with the digestibility and aesthetics of UNHCR’s HELP website; supporting the compilation and design of informational material for refugees; and strengthening the accessibility of information by refugees of different ages, genders and diversity considerations.
Selected volunteers will have a chance to learn more on the protection and integration of refugees and asylum-seekers while supporting the team at first hand.
We expect the selected online volunteer(s) to start with this task as soon as possible, and within one week.

A minimum of three different information, communication and/or education materials will expect to be formatted during the volunteer period.
