This assignment contributes to UNHCR’s efforts to strengthen global supply chain governance, accountability, and efficiency. By developing a prototype for an online Supply Chain Health-Check tool, volunteers will help transition from an offline to a digital platform that enables real-time compliance monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and fraud prevention. The resulting prototype will serve as a proof of concept for a global platform that supports UNHCR operations, directly enhancing transparency, efficiency, and service delivery to millions of forcibly displaced and stateless people worldwide.

UNHCR’s Supply Governance, Compliance and Quality Section (SGCQ) seeks Online Volunteers to support the design and development of a prototype for the Supply Chain Health-Check (SCHC) online tool. Working under the guidance of the Project Lead, volunteers will: • Assess the structure and requirements of the current offline tool. • Propose and design a user-friendly prototype, including automated scoring, dashboards, and data visualization features. • Integrate hyperlinks to relevant UNHCR policies, procedures, and guidance materials. • Build the prototype using open-source technologies and ensure it aligns with UNHCR ICT standards. • Document the solution architecture, design decisions, and user guidance to support future full-scale development. • Participate in virtual coordination meetings (via Teams or email) and adjust deliverables based on user feedback. Volunteers will work remotely, coordinate progress via online communication tools, and share deliverables electronically.
