You have:

• Native-level knowledge of French required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Availability from April 19th to May 7th.
• 2 volunteers needed.
• 6-10 hours per week for 3 weeks commitment.

We are looking for 2 Online Volunteers to proofread e-learning materials in French using the English versions as a reference. They may be asked to translate or subtitle YouTube videos, missing those components. These materials include 15 lectures (15 minutes on average). The volunteer should have availability April 19th - May 7th. The volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the Learning for Nature team at UNDP and learn about the ways in which Indigenous Peoples can engage with and advocate at various bodies and mechanisms of the United Nations.

  Learning for Nature is the premier e-learning platform by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Learning for Nature offers Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), self-paced courses, podcasts, and other e-learning opportunities. “Indigneous Peoples at the UN," participants will be able to become familiar with the history of Indigenous Peoples’ movement for recognition at the United Nations, understand opportunities for Indigenous Peoples’ engagement and advocacy at the United Nations, and gain knowledge of the entry points for Indigenous Peoples’ engagement with various bodies and mechanisms of the United Nations. In general, Learning for Nature connects biodiversity policymakers, change-makers, and on-the-ground subject matter experts to facilitate the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. UNDP’s Global Programme on Nature for Development houses Learning for Nature, the Equator Initiative, NBSAP Forum, and the New York Declaration on Forests Global Platform. Access to the global multi-stakeholder networks mobilized by these initiatives allows Learning for Nature to circulate knowledge while promoting best practices and engage over 25K course participants.
