Proofread e-learning materials in French for a poverty index course

You have:

• Native-level knowledge of French is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Familiarity with technical terms related to poverty is an advantage.
• Availability for 6-10 hours per week for 3 weeks is expected.

UNDP and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) are hosting a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “Designing a Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI).” We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer to proofread e-learning materials in French using the English versions as a reference. These materials include 5 lessons (avg 7,000 words each), 5 quizzes (10 questions each), 1 final test (15 questions), 11 lectures (avg 2,000 words each), 10 case studies (avg 2,000 words each), 5 lesson video transcripts (avg 1,000 words each), and other short materials. The volunteer should have availability in January 2021. The volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the Learning for Nature team at UNDP and learn about global efforts to measure and reduce poverty.

  Learning for Nature is the premier e-learning platform by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Learning for Nature offers Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), self-paced courses, podcasts, and other e-learning opportunities. The course “Designing a Multidimensional Poverty Index'' offers detailed practical guidance for policymakers and technical experts on how to design an MPI by capturing deprivations in education, health, living standards, employment, safety, and many other dimensions of poverty at national and local levels. In general, Learning for Nature connects biodiversity policymakers, change-makers, and on-the-ground subject matter experts to facilitate the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. UNDP’s Global Programme on Nature for Development houses Learning for Nature, the Equator Initiative, NBSAP Forum, and the New York Declaration on Forests Global Platform. Access to the global multi-stakeholder networks mobilized by these initiatives allows Learning for Nature to circulate knowledge while promoting best practices and engage over 25K course participants.
